  • Introduction: The Missing Half of Emergence

    What brings parts into a coherent whole? While systems thinkers, physicists, and philosophers have long explored emergence (the outward expression of new form), few frameworks explain how coherence forms in the first place.

    The overlooked dynamic is convergence. It is not merely the precursor to emergence; they're equal and necessary complements. Convergence is the inward alignment, transmission, or movement of energy, information, or structure toward a coherent center. Without convergence, the process of emergence could not begin.

    This is the heart of FRET (Fractal Resonance of Emergence Theory): a unifying model that maps all coherent systems as nested fields of resonance, governed by the recursive dynamics of convergence and emergence.

    A whole and/or a part is the process of convergence and emergence between a center and a field.
